Everton boss Marco Silva says Idrissa Gueye is crucial to the way they play.

Gueye's head was turned by Paris Saint-Germain's interest in him last month and Silva is keen to get him back performing for Everton.

The midfielder sets the tempo for Everton with his tackling and no Premier League player has made more challenges this season.

“He's really aggressive," said Silva. “He's fast in both transitions and that is important for us.

“With him there, we can have the other players freer to support the attack.

“He has been really important for us since the beginning of the season, and he was last season also.

“He's playing well and he's doing a good job."
