Gylfi Sigurdsson will sign a new contract with Swansea City after turning down an offer from Everton.
Reports suggest that the Iceland international is eager to remain in Wales and will soon put pen to an extension which will tie him down for the long-term.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman was hoping to lure Sigurdsson to Goodison Park by lodging a £30million bid but it appears as though the 26-year-old attacking midfielder has no intentions of leaving the Liberty Stadium.
There has been a fair amount of interest in Sigurdsson following his stellar 2015/16 season with the Swans, as well as his impressive performances for Iceland at Euro2016, with the Toffees the keenest but the former Tottenham man will opt against exiting Swansea for the second time in his career.
