Sigurdsson leaves Tottenham for Swansea return

Gylfi Sigurdsson has left Tottenham to sign a deal with Swansea City.

The 24-year old Iceland international has signed a four-year contract with the Swans which sees him return to the Liberty Stadium following an impressive loan spell during the 2011/12 season.

Former Reading attacking midfielder Sigurdsson was loaned to Swansea from German club Hoffenheim before moving permanently to England with Spurs in 2012.

The transfer which sees Sigurdsson head to south Wales includes Tottenham moves for young left-back Ben Davies and goalkeeper Michel Vorm.
