Cruz Azul coach Robert Dante Siboldi says he's happy for his players to join up with Mexico for their upcoming tour of Europe.

After their 0-0 draw with Cruz Azul on the weekend, America coach Miguel Herrera threatened to block his players from joining the national team after a rash of injuries due to international commitments earlier this month.

But Siboldi argues: "I am not going to deny the possibility of going to the national team, it is a great motivation to defend your country.

"It is a risk, but we have to adapt, we know that the priority is the national team and we try to support them.

"That happens when you have players with a national team."
