Shrewsbury have taken West Bromwich Albion defender James Hurst on-loan.

Hurst has joined Shrewsbury on a youth loan until January 7.

The 19-year-old right-back has moved to the League Two promotion-chasers to further his experience of first-team football.

Hurst represented England at the Under-20 World Cup this summer, after impressing on his first-team debuts for the Baggies in the Carling Cup, Barclays Premier League and FA Cup last term.
