Tottenham striker Harry Kane could miss as many as eleven games due to a serious ankle injury.
The Daily Mail says Spurs on Tuesday confirmed that their star man would not return to training until the beginning of March after a scan showed significant ligament damage following a last-minute challenge from Phil Jones in Sunday's 1-0 defeat by Manchester United.
That means Kane is unlikely to be fit to return to first-team action until mid-March at the earliest.
The news comes as a huge blow to Tottenham as they aim to end their trophy drought and finish in the top four this season.
It also means Kane is in a race against time to make the first game at Tottenham's new stadium — pencilled in for March 16 against Crystal Palace.
