SHOCKER! Bournemouth boss Parker admits 'we're weaker than last season'

Bournemouth manager Scott Parker has urged the club to sign players to improve the quality of his squad.

Parker says he has a 'weaker team' than the one who won promotion to the Premier League last season.

Speaking after a friendly loss to Bristol City, Parker said: "We lost eight players at the end of last season and we brought in two.

"You'd say that, at this moment in time, we are a weaker squad and a weaker team than what we were at the back end of last season.

"They are the challenges we face in terms of trying to get some help in to support the current team and current players - for the next level of what we are going to – which is the Premier League.

"We have had a good pre-season in terms of hard work and the work we have put into the team, trying some different things.

"We are engaged in that, so there has been that element of course.

"Obviously, in terms of where currently are, I think it's clear we are going to need some help in that sense (bringing in players)."
