Shinji Okazaki: Time to leave Leicester

Shinji Okazaki has announced he's ready to leave Leicester City.

Writing for Nikkei, the Japan attacker stated: “Three seasons have passed in Leicester, now I am thinking about transferring.

“In a situation where there are few opportunities to participate, it may be to say that transferring is to accept the defeat.

“However, unless you take action on your own, you are likely to blame other people and the environment for the unwilling current situation. Under such conditions, it is also difficult to maintain motivation.

“If you put yourself in a new environment, you get all the responsibility to yourself. That's why I want to transfer. Because I would like to play with the feeling that the current situation can change depending on myself.

“There is anxiety and impatience that I cannot grow as a player every day when I cannot enter the game."
