Andriy Shevchenko says former AC Milan teammate Rino Gattuso is the right coach for the club.

The former Milan striker admits he's a fan of Gattuso's style.

The Ukraine coach told Gazzetta dello Sport, "Very good, I like this attitude of the club, there are people who have clear ideas, who do not dance in the periods of difficulty: Leonardo and (Paolo) Maldini are working calmly and competently, Leo and Paolo know the reality better than anyone else, and then there is the blocking of the market: if you can only work on loans, getting back to the top is not easy.

"I hope that Milan can continue to work serenely for the ascent. Rino's support is very important because he is working well, he has given the team a sense of belonging. This is the right man for Milan, and I am happy with the confidence that he is collecting from the club."
