Tim Sherwood believes his Tottenham side can still sneak into a top-four spot on the Premier League table this season.
Spurs edged Cardiff City 1-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday, thanks to Roberto Soldado's first goal in nine league outings, leaving the north Londoners four points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
However, City have two games in hand on Spurs which essentially has them six points out of the four provided the Capital One Cup winners salute in those two extra fixtures.
Nonetheless, Sherwood is still gunning for a Champions League spot despite it being such a competitive campaign this time around.
"It's a huge ask (to make the top four)," Sherwood told Sky Sports.
"But it's one we have to believe in. It's more difficult than ever to qualify for the Champions League because there is so much competition at the top end of the table.
"We're looking upwards rather than behind us."
