Tottenham have scored only once in the opening 30 minutes of their last 10 matches. On Sunday, Sherwood screamed at his troops to pass with greater invention as they rather threatened to improve that statistic.
"It is a bravery thing," he said. "I want the ball played into midfield and if someone is marked, give them the ball [anyway]. These are all good players. They can all handle the football.
"I want to play with risk. I want to be responsible in responsible areas but I want to move the ball. I want to see some rotation in the middle of the park. It was a bit stodgy in there. It was better in the second half but there is a lot to work on."
