Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood was thrilled to be able to secure the services of Tiago Ilori from Liverpool.

Ilori has joined Villa on a season-long loan deal and the young defender most certainly strengthens the Villans' backline.

Upon the arrival of the Portuguese Under-21 international, Sherwood admitted his delight with the latest acquisition.

Sherwood said: "I am very pleased to bring Tiago into the football club. He's someone I have been aware of for some time and I am looking forward to working with him. He's a young guy who I believe will enhance the group here."
