Former Tottenham star Teddy Sheringham has been impressed by Mousa Dembele.

Dembele joined Spurs from Fulham in August.

"Dembele's form has come as no surprise to me to be honest," he said.

"I was speaking to Simon Davies who was with him at Fulham and he told me how special he is. In fact, not too many people talk about Luka Modric now, and he is a terrific player.

"It will be a huge boost to the confidence to have gone to ­Manchester United and won."
