Stoke City striker Richard Cresswell has accepted his time at the Potters is over after joining Sheffield United on-loan.

The 32-year-old striker, whose initial loan move will be made long-term in January, leaves Stoke after two years.

And he sent a text to The Sentinel to say goodbye to fans: "Could u thank the fans, the gaffa and the chairman for me. been 2 years I'll never forget. thanks."
