Sheffield United are set to continue negotiations with Genk regarding midfielder Sander Berge.

The Norwegian international is a key target for the Blades in January, as they hope to strengthen their squad for the rest of the season.

Sky Sports reports that Genk and Sheffield United will hold talks regarding a possible £17million deal.

Berge only has a year left on his contract, which puts the Premier League club in a good negotiating position.

West Ham and Burnley are other clubs that have an interest in signing Berge.

He has played more than 100 games for Genk and has 20 caps for Norway.
