Sheffield United have withdrawn from the Neal Maupay sweepstakes, according to reports.
A host of Premier League clubs are looking to sign the Brentford striker, who scored 28 goals for the Bees last term.
The auction has seen Brentford's asking price rise to £20m, which is the total amount of United's transfer budget.
The Blades will now focus on cheaper alternatives, such as West Brom's Jay Rodriguez and Swansea's Oli McBurnie.
