Sheffield Utd planning talks with ex-Fulham boss Jokanovic

Former Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is a target for Sheffield United.

The Examiner says Sheffield United want to speak to Jokanovic over the vacant manager's job at Bramall Lane.

The Blades hierarchy have so far been reluctant to speak with the 52-year-old, instead exploring the possibility or hiring KV Oostende coach Alexander Blessin.

However, the German has been unable to get a visa to work in this country following changes to the law as a result of Brexit.

Jokanovic is currently in Qatar with Al-Gharafa, but with two promotions on his CV he appears tailor-made for the role.

And the noises coming out of Bramall Lane this evening following another poor performance, is that United have now made contact over the possibility of setting up talks.

He will be out of contract when the season ends and it should lead to a swift appointment if talks can take place and if they are successful.
