Sheffield United are planning new contract talks with three senior players.
The Sheffield Star says John Lundstram and Enda Stevens are set to be handed improved terms.
John Egan, the lynchpin of a defence which has helped establish United in the upper echelons of the Premier League table, is also expected to be offered a new deal following an impressive start to the season.
Although securing Lundstram's future is the immediate priority - an ever-present since August, the midfielder is set to become a free agent at the end of the campaign - Egan and Stevens will be invited to the negotiating table too having both emerged as key figures in manager Chris Wilder's first-choice starting eleven.
