Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder says his team are 'fighting for their lives'.
The Blades have given themselves a chance of survival by winning three of their last five matches, leaving them ten points from safety.
"We needed a big second half performance," Wilder said after beating fellow relegation battlers West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.
"We huffed and puffed in the first half. It's a really disappointing one from our point of view [conceding the first goal]. The second half was a lot better, more us. We were on the front foot and driving the opponents back.
"It was always not going to be a free-flowing game with the two teams in the situations they are in. We were just a bit slow in the first half. I thought we were okay without really dominating or creating many clear-cut chances. We just had to let ourselves go a little bit which we did in the second half. We were more ambitious.
"It was always going to be a tough game. They had nothing to lose. It's always going to go to the end. It was a tight game and a nervy end. We are delighted to get a result. We just keep moving on."
