Sheffield Utd manager Wilder confident facing Newcastle

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is confident his side can get a positive result against Newcastle United on Tuesday.

The Blades have yet to claim their first win of the Premier League season.

Speaking about the clash at Bramall Lane, Wilder said: "Every point in the Premier League is vital and that's the disappointment from us this year - turning tight games into draws and draws into wins and the difficulty for teams outside the top eight to gain points.

"Newcastle have had some great wins and some don't advertise it as much as others but staying in the Premier League is what they are after and possibly Newcastle are in the same situation as a lot of other clubs.

"They have a strong squad, a strong bench and an experienced manager who has achieved a lot in the game as a player and a manager.

"We believe if we play to our best, we can get a result and we have felt like that all season, but producing it and thinking it is two different things.

"We have to produce and if we do and can build off the back of Bristol Rovers, and then build off the back of Newcastle, there are big games ahead of us."
