Sheffield Utd make transfer concession to help Arsenal buy Sander Berge

Sheffield United are prepared to compromise as Arsenal look to sign midfielder Sander Berge.

The talented central midfielder made no secret of his desire to leave the Sheffield club after their relegation from the Premier League this past season.

According to Sheffield Star, the Blades are not eager to drop down their £35 million valuation of the player.

However, the report states that Sheffield United may be willing to accept more of the money through annual instalments.

If less of the money is required up front, Arsenal could be in a better financial position to do a deal at the price the Blades desire for Berge.

The Yorkshire had originally demanded that the entire fee be paid up front.

Berge, 23, impressed in his debut season in England which was interrupted by injury.

Everton and Arsenal have also been watching his situation.
