Sheffield United are closing in on a decision regarding their next permanent manager.
The Blades parted with long serving boss Chris Wilder three weeks ago, due to differences between himself and the club's board, along with poor results that have made relegation from the Premier League all but certain.
And according to The Star, Javier Pereira is a possible candidate for the position.
The Blades are also approaching former Watford and Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic, but he is currently employed by Qatari club Al-Gharafa.
If Jokanovic leaves his club next month and gets an approach from Sheffield United, he would consider taking the job.
Pereira is currently managing Chinese Super League side Henan Songshan Longmen, but would be ready to leave for a new challenge.
