Sheffield United fullback Enda Stevens was happy with the manner of victory over Norwich City on the weekend.

The Blades are back at Bramall Lane this weekend for the visit of Aston Villa, who joined United and Norwich in the Premier League this term after winning last season's Championship play-off final.

Stevens, who played for Villa earlier in his career after coming to England from his native Ireland, told The Star: “We dug in deep, stayed in the game and, second half, got on the front foot and deservedly won the game.

“We're the ones who go out onto the pitch and we want to win every game. We know when we're not at it. We're an honest group.

“We needed a reaction and the manager usually gets one out of us, but not in the first half! Thankfully we got it in the second half. It gives us a massive boost of confidence and we've got to take that form into next week."
