Fiorentina ace Franck Ribery admits he held talks with Premier League clubs over the summer.
Ribery left Bayern Munich for Fiorentina on a free transfer and has kicked off his Serie A career in spectacular fashion.
The French veteran was linked to talks with Sheffield United in preseason and he's now confirmed contact with English clubs.
Ribery said: "Eintracht Frankfurt also were interested me, but they wanted to offer me a one-year contract and it was not an option for me.
"And then I wanted to change the league and get out of the Bundesliga. Premier League teams also contacted me, but I chose Fiorentina."
