Sheffield United coach Gary Speed has rejected the manager's job at Hull City.

The Daily Star says owner Russell Bartlett saw Speed as the man to mastermind the club's return to the Premier League next season.

A source said: "Gary is very keen to move into management but he has always stressed that it would have to be what he considers to be the right job."
