Sheffield Utd boss Wilder delighted with Berge for FA Cup win: He deserved central chance

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder was delighted with the performance of Sander Berge in their FA Cup win at Reading.

Having played Berge on the right flank since his January arrival from Genk, Wilder handed the midfielder a central role last night and was impressed.

The manager told VG: "He is used to playing as an anchor, that is his natural position, so it was important that we give him a few minutes there.

"That's where he has played so well for Norway and for Genk.

"He has been involved in three wins in four games, so we are very pleased with him. It's not always easy for a young boy, we have to admit that he's still only 22 years old, and I'm sure he's going to get better in the next few matches and months."
