Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom admits the dressing room was quiet after their 1-0 defeat to Wolves.
Willian Jose's goal has condemned the Blades to relegation.
Heckingbottom said: "There's a lot of hurt in that dressing room but there's been a lot of hurt all season.
"That game is our season, those 30 seconds.
"There's six games left and we are in control of how we perform and have to make sure we behave in the correct way and put in the performances we can do.
"It's about personal pride."
Asked about the state of the club, the caretaker manager added: "Direction comes from above.
"The clarity and direction comes from above and everyone falls into line - those decisions are important and decisions are being made but clarity is important - the manager will want to be involved in a lot of the decisions that need to be made."
