Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer says Tottenham must make the most of their new stadium factor against Champions League opponents Manchester City.

He wrote for The Sun: "Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be rocking tomorrow night.

"And Spurs must make the most of it because this is their chance to seize the advantage over Manchester City.

"In my view, Mauricio Pochettino's side need at least a two-goal lead heading to the Etihad if they want to reach the Champions League semi-finals.

"But if anything should give them hope, it is their new home, which looks absolutely incredible.

"They have had one game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to get used to their new pitch, facilities and surroundings — and passed that test with two goals, a clean sheet and three points.

"So the players — and the fans — will now know what to expect when they turn up tomorrow night for what promises to be a cracking tie."
