Shearer sets Man City ace Haaland 'bonkers' goals target

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has laid down a challenge for Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

The Norway forward has been in outstanding form this week, scoring eight goals in the past two games.

He netted five against RB Leipzig and three against Burnley in the Champions League and FA Cup respectively.

Speaking on the BBC, Shearer said: "He lives for goals.

"Some players might say, 'I wanna get 20 goals a season'. He wants 30, 40, 50 - he might even get 60 goals this season.

"I mean, it's bonkers. As I said, some are happy with that, some are not. The greatest and best want more and more and more. They're never satisfied because that feeling of scoring a goal, there's nothing like it."
