Alan Shearer is ready to walk out of Newcastle United.

The Daily Mail says Shearer has grown increasingly frustrated at the time it has taken for owner Mike Ashley to return a decision on his own demands and the funds that would be made available.

He is expected to meet chairman Derek Llambias on Tuesday after returning from a short break in Portugal.

For their part, Ashley and Llambias are believed to have reservations about whether Shearer's demands and transfer kitty expectations are realistic and whether he has the right experience.
