Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has rapped Alan Pardew over his team selection for their FA Cup defeat to Brighton.
Shearer wrote in The Sun: "I've got no complaints about the result, because the better team won on the day.
"Let's face it, Brighton were a million miles better on this occasion.
"And I know Premier League survival has to be Pardew's No 1 priority, but I still feel he could have put out a stronger team.
"You read that Cisse and Coloccini were not considered because they were carrying "minor knocks".
"But they should be fit by next weekend - and it makes you think they could have played at a push.
"At least put them on the bench, the way Manchester United did with Van Persie and company, so you can try to turn it round if things are going wrong."
