Alan Shearer was impressed by Liverpool defender Joe Gomez after their win at Huddersfield Town.
The Reds continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season thanks to Mohamed Salah's first-half strike in Yorkshire.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer said: “I was very impressed with him again. It wasn't a great performance from Liverpool but this guy stood out again.
“Cool, calm, pace to get across the ground, the pitch - he covers that so quickly. He starts it [the goalscoring move] off.
“As a forward you want the ball fizzed into you because it's easier to control, the weight of pass from [Xherdan] Shaqiri into Salah, lovely finish.
“But look at that, pace on the ball, saying 'Get a hold of that!' And he did. His distribution again was excellent.
“Everything about his performance - right back, we know he can play at centre half as well, didn't panic at all - set Liverpool on to another attack.
“One on one in the box, did enough, right place, getting the block in. Forward again, picks Salah out with pace so it's easy to control.
“I thought he was excellent again today."
