Manchester United fullback Luke Shaw has enjoyed a dig at former teammate Romelu Lukaku after Inter Milan were dumped out of the Champions League last night.

Inter Milan crashed out of the Champions League and into the Europa League after defeat by Barcelona in the San Siro.

And United defender Shaw could not resist a dig at former Old Trafford teammate Lukaku.

Inter's descent into the Europa League after Christmas sets up a potential clash with United who have already booked their place in the last 32 of Europe's second-tier competition ahead of Thursday's match against AZ Alkmaar at Old Trafford.

And Shaw took a cheeky shot at pal Lukaku, telling him on Twitter: "Welcome back!"

It comes as payback for Shaw after Lukaku had shared United stars' sprint speeds in pre-season training prior to his move to Italy.
