Valencia signing Seydou Keita has revealed he came close to joining Liverpool last month.
The former Barcelona midfielder joined Valencia last week and was part of Saturday's shock win at the Nou Camp.
"I was close to a move to Liverpool, but when Valencia approached me, I changed my mind," said the Malian.
Keita, 34, joined Valencia as a free agent from China's Dalian Aerbin.
