Sevilla have terminated the contract of Javier Chevanton by mutual consent.

The Uruguay international is now expected to return to former club Lecce, which have won promotion back to Serie A.

Chevanton will hold a meeting with Lecce today to pen a one-year deal with an option for a second season.

The striker left Lecce six years ago as the most prolific goal scorer in the club's history.
