Sevilla made sure they were very prudent when pursuing Steven N'Zonzi.
Sevilla's Director General, Monchi, has revealed that the reigning Europa League winners did not rush into the £7million signing of the French midfielder who has joined from Stoke City.
Monchi revealed that he believes the Andalusian club have now got their money's worth for a player who is expected to be a real presence in the middle of the pitch.
"We mustn't rush into things as this could see us make mistakes and end up paying over the odds," he said of the N'Zonzi capture.
"He's not just physically strong, he gets into shooting positions and can play too."
Former Blackburn Rovers star N'Zonzi arrives at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan after winning Stoke's Player of the Year award last season.
