Sevilla coach Lopetegui: We didn't deserve Real Madrid defeat; De Jong's goal...

Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui was furious with the decision to rule out Luuk de Jong's headed goal in the first half of Sevilla's defeat to Real Madrid.

The goal was disallowed by referee Juan Martinez Munuera after he spotted a foul on Eder Militao by Nemanja Gudelj on the pitchside monitor.

"We deserved something more than a defeat," Lopetegui said.

"We had a good first half, we scored a legal goal, I'm sure not sure why they ruled it out, I'm not seeing it.

"We didn't start the second half well with the ball. Then we took risks, we scored and they went back in front soon after,

"We took risks and we had Jesus [Navas]'s pass in behind and the shot from [Youssef] En-Nesyri.

"I really don't understand, unless someone can help me understand, why the goal was ruled out.

"I think it's a massive error."
