Sevilla chief Monchi on Real Madrid defeat: I was ready to take players off pitch

Sevilla sports chief Monchi was angered by the decision to rule out Sevilla's first-half goal against Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

After looking at the pitchside monitor, Luuk de Jong's headed opener was disallowed by referee Juan Martinez Munuera for a foul on Eder Militao by Nemanja Gudelj.

"Everyone saw the action, it's more just something that happens in a game but there is no technical or tactical analysis from this moment on," Monchi told Movistar after the 2-1 defeat.

"I refuse to analyse the match tactically or technically because this moment is very key and it's absurd to analyse the game from this point on."

Real Madrid appealed for De Jong's second-half goal to be ruled out as well after Munir El Haddadi handled the ball in the build-up.

"If they disallow that goal, I would've down onto the pitch and taking the team off," Monchi said.
