Tottenham could be moving a step closer to the signature of Jules Kounde.

The French centre-back is emerging as a key target for new director of football Fabio Paratici.

Gianluca Di Marzio, a respected Italian transfer specialist, reports Paratici is eager to secure Kounde from Sevilla for new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Sevilla are close to accepting a bid from Spurs of €30 million and Davinson Sanchez.

If the transfer happens, Spurs would send a readymade replacement for Kounde to Sevilla to soften the blow of losing the French star.

What is unclear is whether Kounde, who has been linked with top clubs around Europe, is eager to sign for Spurs.
