Sergio Gonzalez has been named new coach of Cadiz.

Sergio takes charge of Cadiz after the dismissal of Álvaro Cervera. He has agreed a contract to the end of this season.

The former Espanyol and Real Valladolid coach will be presented to local media later today.

Sergio met the squad on Tuesday, accompanied by Cadiz president Manuel Vizcaino.

"I know the footballers you are, the type of players you are and what you have shown," Sergio told the squad during a short address.
