Sergino Dest has informed Ajax teammates he's leaving for Barcelona.

Sport says the fullback has said his farewells to teammates, letting them he's signing for Barca.

Sergino's lawyer was in Barcelona on Tuesday and met with the members of the football management team and the CEO, Òscar Grau. This step, together with the departure of Nelson Semedo to Wolves, were decisive for Barca to finally tip the balance in its favour with Ajax.

Dest's ability to play on both flanks has coach Ronald Koeman convinced he will be an excellent alternative to Sergi Roberto and even Jordi Alba if necessary.

Barca and Ajax have struck terms over a €25m deal for the fullback. The agreement includes an extra €5m in bonuses.
