Serbia coach Dragan Stojkovic says there was no way he was going to leave Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic out of his World Cup squad.

Mitrovic goes into the tournament carrying a leg injury.

Stojkovic said: "I would to take Mitrovic to the World Cup if he was missing a leg. We can also shorten his recovery a bit.

"We still have time to change the squad, but I very much doubt we do.

"Mitrovic can go to Qatar with one leg, why not? It would be unique with a player with one leg - that has never happened before..."
