Former Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos has declared Arsene Wenger irreplaceable.

Wenger will leave Arsenal at the end of the season after almost 22 years at the club.

“I don't think you can replace Arsene at Arsenal," Houston Dynamo defender Senderos told ESPN.

“I think you go in different direction, that's what I've heard in the press.

“I think Mr (Ivan) Gazidis said it and that's totally true.

“I think Arsene Wenger has done so much for the game in England and for the whole football club at Arsenal. You can't replace him.

“He's unique, I owe him a lot, and a lot of players owe him a lot.

“I'm sure he will be remembered as Mr Arsenal."
