Seedorf open to staying with relegated Deportivo La Coruna

Deportivo La Coruna coach Clarence Seedorf says he'd be willing to remain in charge next season.

Depor's relegation was confirmed with Sunday's defeat to Barcelona.

Seedorf said: "It is a great disappointment, we are all sad about this result of the game, but mainly because of relegation. I have no plans, everything is open. I want to thank everyone in the club, the players, the effort. The fans, the people since I arrived here have treated me well, I have felt at home.

"I have found a very good place to work, a city where I have found myself living well. Unfortunately we have not achieved the goal, we have done everything we could. But sport is like that. You do things well but the results do not accompany it.

"I want to finish with the same spirit that has been seen today, finish well, with dignity. Because it is what the group and the club deserve."

Seedorf added: "We have not talked about anything. But there is no closed door."
