Seattle Sounders ace Montero eyeing Colombia stint

Fredy Montero is believed to be entertaining the thought of returning to his homeland of Colombia for a playing spell early next year.

The Seattle Sounders star is eyeing a loan shift prior to the 2013 MLS campaign kicking off in March with three clubs show interest according to El Pais.

"It's no secret MLS is not attractive to the (Colombian national team coaches)… (Montero) wants to be there so they can see him and give him an opportunity to be a part of his country's national team," said a source.

It is believed that Millonarios is the only club Montero is considering with the likes of Nacional and Deportivo Cali also showing interest.

"The family has told us that the only team that has interested Colombia is Millonarios. Junior has not said anything to us, but we believe it is a good choice for Fredy also play on the team near his land," the source added.
