Crystal Palace endured a subpar 2015/16 Premier League season.
Alan Pardew's Eagles were tipped by many to firmly force their way into the top half of the standings having secured a 10th-placed finish the season prior.
A bright start to the campaign saw the South Londoners win five of their opening eight fixtures only to fall away horribly in the new year where they lost nine of 11 and won just twice in 21 outings after Christmas.
Perhaps they placed precedence on the FA Cup, making it to the final, but ultimately it was a disappointing campaign from the Selhurst Park outfit.
Some added attacking nous in the summer transfer market would certainly be handy while bringing in genuine but affordable quality at the back could also benefit the Eagles.
2016/17 is shaping as a vital campaign in Croydon, especially after it emerged that Pardew is set to sign a long-term deal, and we have all seen where that has got him in the past.

FROM THE BOSS
“I think we have got to get players who are better than this.
“There is no point in getting players who are not potentially better than the ones we have got. Well, then they have got to be good players.
“So will there be a big name in there? There's going to need to be."
