Scotland management pleased with Liverpool move for Wilson

Scotland U21 boss Billy Stark has backed Danny Wilson's move to Liverpool.

Stark will hand the 18 year-old former Rangers defender an U21 debut against Sweden next month.

Stark said: "I really don't think people have gone over the top in assessing Danny's abilities. He is a good reader of the game and his range of passing is a bonus for a centre-back.

"Going to Liverpool is a big, big move for a teenager, but Danny is well equipped to handle it. He is sensible enough to know he is not just going to move down to Anfield and walk into the team there."
