Schuster tribute to ex-Barcelona teammate Maradona: We didn't know how to make most of him

Bernd Schuster has paid tribute to former Barcelona teammate Diego Maradona.

Maradona passed away on Wednesday due to cardiac arrest. He was 60.

On playing with the Argentine, Schuster recalled on El Transistor: "We left him alone in the field.

"We did not know how to take advantage of Diego. We left him a bit alone on the field. He was an undisputed leader on the field and we did not know how to take advantage of him.

"He was a leader on the field. They made very ugly tackles on him, but he kept asking for the ball.

"We admired each other in the way our teams (Germany and Argentina) played.

"Personally he always asked me and worried about my family."
