Former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster admits he's urged president Florentino Perez to revive his interest in Joachim Low.

Perez has long admired the Germany coach and Schuster believes the time is right to now move for Low.

Schuster told Die Welt: "I spoke at length with president Florentino Pérez during an honorary ceremony and I explicitly mentioned Jogi Löw.

"The president of Real Madrid reacted by looking at me with surprise, as if it had surprised him. The Germans are highly valued at Real. After all, we are doing a good job there.

"I would not be surprised if Real is trying to hire Löw next summer."
