Paul Scholes insists Manchester United's veterans can still cut it at Premiership level.
This could be the last season for the likes of Scholes, 35, Ryan Giggs, 36, Gary Neville, 35, and Edwin van der Sar - who turns 40 in October.
Critics have argued that Fergie's team remain too dependent on their golden oldies.
But Scholes hit back: "We have some very experienced players, but we are not an old squad.
"It really doesn't matter what your age is if you are playing games.
"The hunger and the desire are still there. And all of the players have got that here."
